This project has to be one of the most interesting and challenging we have embroidered to date, the request was made by an Architect student who wanted as her final year show piece to have her paper plans converted into actual embroidery.
The size of the overall embroidery was 1 meter wide by 1.5 meters in height, there were more than 15 colour in the design and 2 different types of fabrics were used. The Black fabric on the top represents the sea which was appliqued, and to achieve the final result we use various different stitching techniques which includes Satin stitch Tatami to name just a couple.
